Gang member arrested in Merced, this is what police found

According to the Merced Police Department, on January 24, 2020, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit
(GVSU) officers contacted gang member 34-year-old Daniel Reynosa parked in front of a known
drug house on the 1400 block of Louise Avenue.

Officers conducted a probation search of his car and located a handgun, ammunition and 28 grams of packaged heroin. Reynosa was
arrested and booked at the Merced County jail for weapons charges, drug charges and
gang enhancements.

Merced Police are asking anyone with any information regarding this crime to contact
Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) Sgt. Rodriguez at (209)385-4710 or
GVSU@cityofmerced.orq or the Merced Police Department Tipster Line at (209) 385-
4725.

The public can send information via anonymous text messages to police
department by dialing “TIP411” (847411) and including the word “Comvip” as the
”keyword” in the text message.
