On February 10th, 2018, at around 11:18PM a freight train derailed on Santa Fe and Hatch road. Emergency crews arrived on scene of the freight train derailment just outside of Hughson. Several roads were closed in the area as emergency crews worked to identify any potential hazardous spills. No injuries were reported.

Emergency crews have completed an initial inspection and confirm no hazardous material was spilled or released. There is a spill of a non-toxic powder along Santa Fe Ave.

BNSF Railroad Emergency Response crews are arriving on scene with heavy equipment to begin the clean up process.
