Ceres, CA. – On April 1, 2019 at approximately 2:30 P.M. we received a call of a stabbing in the area of Darrah and Lois.

Officers responded and located a juvenile victim who was suffering from a stab wound. Officers treated the victim until medical professionals arrived.

Through investigation, investigators determined the assault took place in the 1900 block of Darrah. The victim and the suspect were in a verbal argument.

At some point and time the suspect stabbed the victim and then fled the area. The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Gonzalo Chavez Jimenez from Ceres. Jimenez is wanted on one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

The male juvenile victim, a teenager, was treated and released from a local hospital for their injury that is considered not life-threatening.
