“Black Lives Matter” Mural may soon come to Downtown Merced

The City of Merced may soon have a Black Lives Matter mural in downtown Merced.

On Monday night, City Council members discussed approving a Black Lives Matter Street Mural near Bob Hart Square.

During the meeting, City Council Members decided to make a decision in the next City Council meeting to further clarify the project.

The Black Lives Mural is expected to be painted in yellow and would be a 400 foot-long mural on Canal and West 16th Streets behind 5 Ten Bistro.

The Mural is expected to be low maintenance and will only be displayed for a period of 9 months.

There was also a discussion about a permanent wall mural, at this time there is no location decided for the wall mural.

What a great idea! The self-centered and close mindedness of this community needs to be reminded that black lives matter even if it irritates them to the bone! Black lives matter and are in need of support! The only people who are taking that statement as an attack on all lives mattering are the ones who only complain because attention isn’t being paid to them! Stand up for something other than yourselves for once. Black lives matter and i’m so happy these murals will be made here.

Will be applying for “Make American Great Again” to be painted as well! Once you open up one group, you cannot deny another group. Isn’t equality great!!!

BLM doesn’t stand for blacks. They want to burn America to the ground.
