“EVERY 15 MINUTES PROGRAM” AT MERCED HIGH SCHOOL

Another successful “Every 15 Minutes” program completed at Merced High School. With the assistance of several other agencies, local business, and the school staff, we had the opportunity to make a real impact on the students.

The Every 15 Minutes program is a two-day program focusing on high school juniors and seniors, which challenges them to think about drinking, driving, personal safety, the responsibility of making mature decisions and the impact their decisions have on family, friends, their community, and many others.

The first day consists of a very realistic and emotional re-enactment of a DUI traffic collision involving actual students from the school. The second day is an assembly that reminds students about how their choices have a far-reaching effect on others.

The CHP Merced Area Office would like to thank all the students and their parents for participating in this event. We would also like to thank all the staff at Merced High School.
