The Merced County Sheriff’s Office detectives bureau is still on scene at 2655 Atwater Boulevard in the city of Atwater, in regards to an officer involved shooting. At around 11:30A.M., deputy’s along with probation officers showed up to the residence to serve a warrant, during that time a male subject became combative with a weapon at the officers.

deputy’s and probation officers fired at him, he died from his injuries according to Allen. Probation officers and deputy’s were not injured. No other details at this time considering it is the beginning stages of the investigation. Stay tuned for further updates.
