A motorcyclist was injured in a solo crash
Wednesday afternoon in Merced.

CHP officers responded at around 1:35, for reports of a motorcyclist down. Officials say it happened on Ashby road just West of Miles court.

The driver, 38-year-old Randy Burgess of San Juan Bautista was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson Eastbound at an unknown speed when he lost control of the motorcycle.

Burgess suffered a broken leg, he was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California Highway Patrol public information officer told Merced Golden Wire News.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor, no other vehicles or injuries were reported, Zuniga said.
