3 gang members arrested in Merced, all with weapon charges

The Merced Police Department Gang Violence Suppression Unit arrested three gang members last night.

On August 22, 2019, officers contacted gang members 26-year-old Bryant Brown, 23-year-old Devonte Richey and 25-year-old Dartanun Young in a vehicle parked at 7-11 on Loughborough Drive.

Upon further investigation, Officers conducted a probation search of the car.

During the search, officers located a handgun and ammunition inside the car.

All three gang members were arrested and booked at the Merced County jail for weapons charges and gang enhancements.
