On May 19th, 2019, the Los Banos Police Department received several reports of a suspicious threatening online photo.

The photo displayed a firearm and referenced a school, on a social media site.

Police personnel, together with the Los Banos School District, identified a 15-year-old Los Banos High School student as the author of the post.

The juvenile was contacted at his residence and placed under arrest for criminal threats.

The firearm was also located and identified as belonging to the juvenile’s parent.

The juvenile has been cooperative and it is believed the photo was posted as a joke.
