12-year-old hit by vehicle, Juvenile was seen doing donuts with the quad

On August 18th, 2019, at approximately 6:43 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the area of Broadway street east of North Cabrillo Street in Planada.

Officers responded to a collision call involving a child riding a quad who was hit by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located a 12-year-old suffering from injuries.

Upon further investigation, officers said 26-year-old Hermilo from Planada was driving a 2005 Dodge Durango South on Broadway when the 12-year-old was making donuts in the center median and drove into the path of the oncoming vehicle according to witness statements given to CHP.

The Juvenile was ejected from the quad on impact, according to Zuniga, a public information officer from CHP the Juvenile was taken to Children’s Hospital in Madera.

No drugs or alcohol appear to be a factor in this collision.

    This is the kid that got in a crash I always wonder how it happen when I heard something about it!
