Woman arrested with several firearms, police say

On July 5, 2019, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) developed information there were several illegal firearms at a home on Crawford Street in Winton.

GVSU officers searched the residence and located 6 firearms including an assault rifle and a stolen handgun.

31-year-old Danielle Cayous was arrested and booked at the Merced County jail for weapons charges and receiving stolen property.

Merced Police are asking anyone with any information regarding this crime to contact Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) Sgt. Rodriguez at (209) 385-4710 or GVSU@cityofmerced.org or the Merced Police Department Tipster Line at (209) 385-4725.

The public can send information via anonymous text messages to police department by dialing “TIP411” (847411) and including the word “Comvip” as the “keyword” in the text message.

    Please take this down. You do not have the facts and she’s never had even a speeding ticket. She has roommates and I can assure you she never brought these into her home.
