US Marshall’s now offering $10,000 for information leading to arrest Merced jail escapees

This is an update from the Merced Sheriff’s Department.

One week after the escape of six felons from the Merced County Jail, there are still three outstanding escapees.

The Merced County Sheriff’s Office has been working diligently with the US Marshal’s Service and the Department of Justice to capture the three remaining escapees. Additionally, the US Marshal’s service has raised the reward value up to $10,000.00 per escapee for information leading to the apprehension of these subjects.

The following subjects should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see any of the following escapees do not approach them and immediately call 9-1-1.

BARRON, JORGE; 20-years-old, Hispanic Male Adult, 5’05” 140lbs, Black Hair, Brown Eyes, from Atwater, Ca– Current Charges – violation of probation

CORONADO, GABRIEL FRANCIS; 19-years-old, Hispanic Male Adult, 5’10”, 225lbs, Black Hair, Brown Eyes, from Atwater, Ca – Current Charges – attempted murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, participation in a criminal street gang, felon in possession of a firearm, violation of probation.

LEON, MANUEL ALLEN; 21-years-old, Hispanic Male Adult, 5’10” 165lbs, Black Hair, Brown Eyes, from Vallejo, California – Current Charges – assault with a firearm, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, evade peace officer – reckless driving, participation in a criminal street gang, carrying a loaded firearm.
