According to the Chowchilla Police Department, after the investigation was conducted by investigators, they were able to make an arrest thanks to the diligence of officers and help of the community.

The vehicle involved in the collision was discovered and evidence from the collision was found on it.

The male juvenile driver of the vehicle was also found and taken into custody for driving without a license and felony hit and run.

Chowchilla Police said, accidents happen and its better to stay at the scene even if its a minor collision. If the person would’ve stayed on scene they would have received a citation instead of now a felony charge.
