Second plane crash reported, plane hit power lines, more info here

This is the second plane crash within two weeks in Stanislaus County.

Stanislaus Sheriff Deputies and several emergency vehicles responded 30 miles east-Northeast of Modesto at approximately 5:45 pm yesterday for a plane crash.

Deputies had a difficult time locating the site due to it being in a remote location.

Once Deputies located the scene near the 5400 Block of Crabtree Road, they located a single-engine Bellanca Citabria that had crashed.

The plane was largely intact and appeared to have hit some power lines, which caused a small fire and forced the plane to land.

The pilot was able to get out of the plane safely without injuries, no other passengers were in the plane.

The FAA was notified of the crash and per the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) investigator, no units were required to stay overnight.
