TWO MERCED GANG MEMBERS ARRESTED


Merced, CA- On Saturday, May 6 2017, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 900 block of W 13th St in Merced. GVSU officers contacted gang members Christopher Lloyd-Patterson and Darren Abril inside the vehicle.
 
Officers searched the vehicle and located two loaded 38 caliber revolvers inside the car. Patterson and Abril are convicted felons and cannot possess any firearms. They were both arrested and booked at the Merced County Jail for felon in possession of firearms, ammunition, receiving stolen property and gang enhancements.
 
Merced Police are asking anyone with any information regarding this crime to contact Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) Sgt. Rodriguez at (209) 385-4710, or the Merced Police Department Tipster Line at (209) 385-4725. The public can send information via anonymous text messages to police department by dialing “TIP411” (847411) and including the word “Comvip” as the “keyword” in the text message.
