On December 16th, 2018, 19-year-old Javier Salcedo along with 19-year-old Mystikal Joya Musquiz and 18-year-old Yaridzel Salcedo, all three work colleagues were arrested according to Atwater Police Department. The arrests were made at the Super Target in Atwater. All three suspects charged with embezzlement, burglary, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The arrests were made after Atwater Police was summoned to Target by a Loss Prevention agent who had two of the three employees detained after they initiated an investigation for possible embezzlement.

The third employee was called by Loss Prevention agents, she arrived a short time later. All three were questioned by Atwater police on-scene but refused to answer any questions. All three suspects were booked into the Merced County Jail.
