On Thursday, September 20th, the WEA portion of the test commences at 2:18 p.m. EDT, and the EAS portion follows at 2:20 p.m. EDT.

FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency, will send a nationwide wireless emergency alert test for the first time in their history.

Please be aware that this is only a test of the emergency alert system, not a real life threatening emergency.
