On Thursday night, September 6, 2018, a vehicle originally pursued by the Merced Police Department was located in Los Banos city limits by the Los Banos Police Department. Los Banos Police was in pursuit of the vehicle on Pacheco Boulevard, at Center Avenue when it crashed into the concrete center median and 2 other vehicles.

Three occupants fled the vehicle as Los Banos Police, Merced Police and CHP checked the area, locating two occupants, the vehicle was towed and CHP is handling the collision investigation.
