POLICE START A PROGRAM CALLED “LIGHT’S ON LOS BANOS

Do you want to help fight crime?

The city of Los Banos Police department started a program called “Lights On Los Banos”, this program was designed to help fight crime. The Police department says let’s work together to fight crime.

Los Banos Police is asking that ALL Los Banos residents leave their porch lights on every night in their ongoing efforts to keep Los Banos safe. To help in the departments effort they partnered with some friends at PG&E to help offset the cost of leaving the lights on.

For a limited time, you can stop by the Police Department located at (945 5th Street), Monday-Friday 8 to 5; to pick up a set of three,FREE, energy-efficient light bulbs to help you reduce the cost of your crime fighting efforts.

Nothing would make officers happier than to drive down every block in the community and see every home’s porch lights on!

All you need to do is present your ID so they can verify you live in Los Banos, and off you go with your free light bulbs. Tell your neighbors, your friends and your family to come get their free lights and be the brightest street in Los Banos.

We want to take a moment to thank the friends at Pacific Gas and Electric for donating the light bulbs.

And, if you don’t think you can make a difference, consider this…There are 41 hard-working Police Officers who do amazing work to keep Los Banos safe, but there are thousands upon thousands of you involved residents who can help make Los Banos even safer… just imagine what can be accomplished together!

What are you waiting for?? Turn your lights on Los Banos!!
