Merced Police officers are investigating a shooting on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to an apartment complex located in the area of East Main Street and G street at around 9:24 for reports of a gunshot victim.

Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim, according to police.

The victim was flown to an out-of-area hospital and his condition remains unknown at this time, police say.

No suspect information is available at this time, detectives remain at the scene investigating.
