Plans for a Party City at the former Pier 1 store at 1778 West Olive Avenue appear to have fallen through. At this time it’s unknown if Party City is expecting to find a different location in Merced.

According to information earlier this year from Www.LoopNet.com showed plans for an Ashley Furniture at the former Best Buy store, plans for a Party City at the former Pier 1 and plans for a Work World next to Big 5 Sporting Goods.

Best Buy closed March 8th, 2020, due to company representatives not being able to reach an agreement with the landlord, over 20 full-time employees were affected.

Best Buy also mentioned the company was expecting to find a new location in Merced by the end of the year.
