Merced Police is investigating a collision after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of West 16th and Q streets at around 9:50 p.m., for a report of a vehicle vs a pedestrian.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult individual with lacerations.

The victim is being flown by helicopter to a Modesto Hospital. At this time it appears the driver stayed at the scene.
