Merced police officers are investigating a pedestrian vs vehicle collision in the area of G street and West 22nd near Bernie’s Liquor store.

Officers responded to the area at around 9:21 p.m. and located an individual who was hit by a vehicle and ran over by a second vehicle who did not stop at the scene.

The pedestrian was taken in bad shape by medical personnel officer McKeeman told Merced GW News.

According to officer McKeeman, video is being looked at to determine the second vehicle involved.

The first vehicle that did stop at the scene is cooperating with the investigation and alcohol or drugs are not involved.
