Merced Police have arrested a man after officers located drugs and cash in his vehicle.

Officer Centeno of the Merced Police Department made an enforcement stop at around 8:48 p.m. Sunday in the area of Southbound Highway 99 near Childs Avenue.

Officer Centeno learned the driver’s license of the driver was suspended and he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The driver was identified as 40-year-old Mario Gilberto Caballero, he was arrested and a search of his vehicle was conducted.

Officers located just over one pound of Methamphetamine along with over $1500 in cash.

Caballero was transported to the Merced County jail where he was refused due to zero bail for his charges. He was subsequently cited and released.
