The Merced Union High School District’s Maintenance and Operations Department started an exterior painting project on May 23rd, 2022. They identified the exteriors of Atwater High School, Yosemite High School, Sequoia High School, Merced Adult School, and Golden Valley High School as needing repainting.
This gave MUHSD the perfect opportunity for each campus to use the school colors to repaint all buildings.
MUHSD is excited about the East Campus Educational Center campus where Yosemite’s High School, Sequoia High School, and Merced Adult School reside.
This project will incorporate the school colors to identify the three schools visually. The East Campus Educational Center campus was last painted in 2012. MUHSD is excited to see their students’ reactions when they step back on campus on August 10, 2022.
Atwater High School will use the school colors to paint all buildings except the new gym. Golden Valley High School will include painting all buildings, including the student lockers and stadium press box.
The painting job will be completed by July 8, 2022, before the start of the 2022-23 school year! MUHSD is documenting the before and after process. Stay tuned for the completion of the painting project that will showcase school pride.
