Merced Sheriff’s seize gambling machines at this Merced County Business

The Merced County Sheriff’s Office SET team in conjunction with Merced County Code Enforcement and the California Department of Justice Bureau of Gambling Control seized three electronic slot machines from a business in the 9800 Block of Stephens Street in Delhi on October 31st, 2019.

Agents and Deputies seized an undisclosed amount of cash from the illegal operation. Deputies arrested the owner of the business Angelica Saucedo and released her on a citation for possession of the illegal gambling machines.

The seizure stemmed from an operation earlier this month targeting the sale of alcohol to minors. Deputies and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Beverage Control witnessed the gambling machines inside the business.

Sheriff Warnke created the Sheriff’s Enforcement to tackle quality of life issues such as this one within Merced County. The SET Team will continue to collaborate with local and state partnerships to address illegal gambling within Merced County.
