On January 30th, 2020, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers from the Merced Police Department responded to the area of West Main and H streets for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located four victims who all had been shot at, the victims were all found in separate locations in the area, one of the victims was unresponsive at the scene.

All four victims were taken to Modesto area hospitals, one in critical condition and the other three in stable condition.

Police said all four victims appear to be Juveniles or teenagers.

At this time it’s unknown if the shooting is gang-related. Detectives are looking at several cameras in downtown Merced. No information is available on the suspect/s. Police are gathering evidence at the scene.
