Merced Police officers are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

Officers responded to the 3100 block of Denver Avenue for reports of shots fired shortly after 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers did not locate a victim, officers learned a short time later that a gunshot victim was located at the Anberry Transitional Care located at 1000 West Yosemite Avenue.

The victim was taken by Ambulance with two gunshot wounds according to an officer that radioed dispatch.

No suspect description was provided.
