Merced Police officers are  currently in the area of West 11th street and Canal street investigating a report of a shooting.

Officers responded at approximately 10:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting victim who was shot in the face according to dispatch scanner feed.

At this time, the condition or identity of victim is unknown.
