Merced Police found a gun and a baggy of Meth at his home

On January 11, 2019, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) developed information that gang member Eric Micheletti (27-year-old) had a gun. GVSU officers responded to an apartment in the 600 block of West 11th Street where they contacted Micheletti who was on probation.

Officers conducted a probation search of the home and located a 25 caliber handgun, ammunition and a baggy of methamphetamine. Micheletti was arrested and booked at the Merced County Jail for possession of meth, weapons charges and gang enhancements.

The public can send information via anonymous text messages to police department by dialing “TIP411” (847411) and including the word “Comvip” as the “keyword” in the text message.
