The Merced Police Department is currently out at 1347 West 16th Street at the Siesta Motel investigating what appears to be a crime scene.

At this time officers are not releasing any details on what the investigation is about.

Reports show officers and medical personnel responded on July 30th, 2019, at approximately 5:05 p.m. at the same location of the scene for a call of a man down unconscious.

Officers arrived and located a man with head trauma.

The man was taken to a Modesto hospital.
