Merced Police arrest man with several bags of Methamphetamine and heroin

On May 29, 2019, at approximately 7:38 p.m., Officer Tucker Zazueta made a traffic stop in the area of Applewood & West Olive Avenue for expired registration.

Joey Michael Orlando was identified as the driver of the vehicle.

While conducting his traffic investigation Officer Zazueta noticed a large bag of crystal Methamphetamine behind the driver’s seat.

Following Orlando’s arrest, several additional bags containing Methamphetamine and Heroin, also scales used to weigh narcotics and packaging material were located.

The total weight of the Methamphetamine was 83.18 grams, and 8.4 grams of Heroin.

Orlando was booked into the Merced County jail for possession of narcotics, possession for sales, possession of a meth pipe, and expired registration.

Merced Police are asking anyone with any information regarding this crime to contact Officer Tucker Zazueta at (209) 385-6912.
