Martin Villalobos was convicted on October 25, 2022, of three counts of oral copulation with a child under the age of 10, a violation of Penal Code 288.7 (b) and five counts of sodomy with a child under the age of 10, a violation of Penal Code 288.7 (a). Mr. Villalobos was found guilty by the jury to have sexually abused an immediate family member.

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Martin Villalobos was sentenced to 170 years to life in prison. The Honorable Judge Marc Bacciarini sentenced the defendant to full and consecutive terms on the 8 counts for which Mr. Villalobos was convicted.

This case was investigated by Detective Radke and Detective Gorman of the Merced Police Department and was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Angelica Lozano.
