Merced police say they have arrested a man wanted for lewd acts with a child under 14 years.

Officers arrested the suspect on Friday at around 2:36 PM, Gang Unit Officer Saldivar followed up on information of the wanted person, 47-year-old Miguel Canas was in the 900 block of East Sandy Mush Road when officers went to that location and arrested Canas for his warrant.

Canas was wanted on 3 counts of Lewd acts with a child under 14 and he is currently being held on a 2 million dollar bail.
