On April 30th, 2020, officers were sent to the 1700 block of West Hwy 140 just after 8:00 p.m, for a report of an assault victim.

When officers arrived, they located a white male adult suffering from facial injuries caused by an assault.

As officers spoke with the victim, they learned he had been assaulted and robbed near 1300 block of West 13th Street by a subject he knew as “Henry”.

As officers checked that location they located Henry Campos. Campos matched the description given by the victim and he had blood on his clothing.

Campos admitted to being involved in a fight with the victim but denied taking part in a robbery.

Campos was positively identified by the victim prior to the victim being transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim’s property was located thrown a short distance away from Campos. Campos was arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail for strong-armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.
