On December 22nd, 2018, at around 2:30 p.m. Madera Police Officers responded to Food 4 Less located at 2360 Cleveland Avenue for a report of a man stealing from the business and a fight had ensued outside the business with the Loss prevention officers. 

Before officers arrival, a woman in a vehicle drove towards the Loss Prevention officers in an attempt to break them up, hitting one of the Loss Prevention officers and leaving the scene. The Loss prevention officer was transported to a local hospital and was later released. The man stealing was arrested on scene and identified by Madera Police as Michael McClellan.

No further information was immediately available, the case remains under investigation according to Seargent McComb.
