On September 23rd, 2019, the First 5 CA Express truck came to visit Weaver Union School District Preschool students.

The First 5 California Express truck travels up and down the state promoting a Talk, Read, Sing campaign.

During the visit staff and students read, sang, danced, colored and enjoyed the beautiful weather together.

A total of six classrooms visited, with over 150 kits including books and instruments were given to families.

Supervisor Lee Lor (County Supervisor and Chair Commissioner for First 5 Merced), Marie Pickney (First 5 Merced Program Manager), and Sandra Lee (Weaver Preschool Coordinator) had so much fun watching the Express truck come to Merced County.

Weaver USD Preschool was one of two sites chosen in the county this year to receive this visit. Today, the truck will be in Atwater.
