Los Banos Police Officers responded to two shootings over the weekend. The first shooting was reported late Friday night. Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of Date Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. on January 25, 2019. The occupants of a gray colored Ford Focus reportedly drove up and fired several shots at a man sitting in a parked vehicle.

On Sunday, January 27, 2019 at about 2:17 a.m., Los Banos Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Texas Avenue. Two homes and a vehicle were struck multiple times by gunfire but no injuries were reported. A large house-party was going on in the area at the time of the shooting, but party goers have been uncooperative with investigators.

Detectives believe the shooter was on foot and may have been chasing the victim. Witnesses reported seeing the shooter running towards the 700 block of Illinois Avenue.
