Convicted felon arrested with stolen firearm

On February 7, 2019, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) officers and Probation officers conducted a parole search of 27-year-old Nicholas Farley’s residence in the 1500 block of Hull Road in Atwater.

During the search, officers located a handgun, ammunition and a stolen car. Farley was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, ammunition, receiving stolen property, parole violation and child endangerment. He was later booked at the Merced County Jail for the mentioned charges.
