Both fires reported near Le Grand yesterday are under investigation, Cal Fire says

Two fires are being investigated according to Battalion Chief John Slate.
Several fire engines responded to the area of Marguerite road and South Santa Fe Avenue  near the Lazy K Ranch Thursday evening at around around 6:25 p.m., for reports of a fire.
Water Tender engine 84 from the Le Grand fire station responded to the vegetation fire along with resources from Madera County and CAL FIRE.
According to Battalion Chief John Slate, once at scene, Engine 84 reported a separate fire at White Rock road just a few miles away from the first fire.
The fire on White Rock road was contained at 54 acres and the fire on Marguerite road was contained at 15 acres, Slate said.
The cause of both fires remain under investigation. No injuries to horses were reported.
