The Merced area California Highway Patrol received a generous donation from Atwater WalMart yesterday.

CHP  received a donation of $2,000 through a #Hydrateblue grant from WalMart.

The grant money is used throughout the year for events like, National Night Out, Santa Day, Health fairs, and car seat check-ups.

In addition, the store manager Alma Valadez donated 20 coolers and a pallet of water to keep officers and the public hydrated.
