A man was arrested in Merced, Vacaville Police had a warrant out on him

On March 14, 2019, the Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit (GVSU) and the Disruptive Area Response Team (DART) officers assisted the Vacaville Police Department with a search warrant at home in the 1300 block of Riverside Court in Merced.

During the search, officers located a handgun, ammunition, large capacity magazines and documents related to a fraud case that Vacaville Police Department was investigating. The suspect, 38-year-old Mikal Searvance is a convicted felon, prohibited from possessing any firearms.

Searvance was arrested and booked at the Merced County jail for felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The public can send information via anonymous text messages to police department by dialing “TIP411” (847411) and including the word “Comvip” as the “keyword” in the text message.
