On February 16th, 2020, just after 11:00 a.m., the Merced Police along with Merced City Fire Department and Riggs Ambulance responded to the 700 block of West 16th Street for a report of a collision.
Upon officer’s arrival, a Merced City Bus (The Bus) was involved in a traffic collision with a red-colored Chevrolet Tahoe.
At this time it’s unknown who was at fault and the collision remains under investigation.
According to Merced Fire Department Battalion Chief Shawn, no injuries were reported.
Last year, I was crossing the street on my mobility scooter, when a city bus turned right, and almost ran over me !! I think they need to get better drivers !!!
This wasn’t the drivers fault. The drivers can be careful and watch all around them. Things happen. People speed pedestrians don’t use crosswalks or cut the drivers off. Pedestrians and other drivers need to learn how to watch their speed look where they are going etc.
