On December 28, 2018 at approximately 5:51 P.M. Merced Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of 18th and “G” for a traffic collision. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a 50-year-old female lying in the roadway with major injuries. Medical attention was immediately provided by Merced City Fire and Riggs. The female was transported to a local hospital where she later passed away.

Merced Police Officers were on scene conducting a Hit and Run Investigation. The vehicle that struck the victim was last seen going north on “G” Street from 18th Street. At this time officers are trying to obtain a suspect and/or a suspect vehicle description.
