On June 11, 2019, 25-year-old Miles Lee Imamura pled guilty to two Felony counts of Lewd or lascivious acts with a child.

According to the terms of his plea agreement he will receive 8-years in state prison and two “strikes”.

“We consulted closely with the family of the victims about the strength of this case and other factors”, said Mariposa District attorney Walter Wall.

Walter also stated, “The family of the victims are satisfied and relieved by the plea resolution, this was a good and effective resolution case, which will punish the suspect for his crimes, give relief to the victims and protect the community”.

Miles will be sentenced on July 16th,2019, during the sentencing the court will impose the upper term prison sentence of 8-years on the Lewd and Lascivious acts charges.

The case against Miles was investigated by the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office in Late 2018 after following a tip from the National Internet Crimes against children task force and was filed by the District Attorney’s office on March 13, 2019.
