On March 13th, 2019, At approximately 2:02 A.M., Atwater Police responded to the 1800 block of Carter Way for a report of suspicious circumstances.

Upon officers arrival, they met with a 17-year-old female and her father. The female provided a statement that she had been lured into a garage and sexually assaulted by her 20-year-old neighbor.

Further investigation led officers to Ebensio Delgado’s apartment where he was detained and eventually arrested.

He was booked into the Merced County Jail on charges of Rape by Force or Fear and False Imprisonment.
