The Merced County Coroner’s Office has identified the juvenile shot and killed Monday afternoon as 14-year-old Cristian Alonso Andrade from Merced, Sheriff public information officer Allen told Merced GW News.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of P Street on Monday afternoon for reports of shots fired at around 12:53, while officers were responding to the area callers advised that a 14-year-old male had been shot and was unconscious at the location.

When officers arrived, they located the juvenile with life-threatening injuries.

CPR was performed by medical personnel, unfortunately, the juvenile died at the scene.
