Merced Police arrested two for being in possession of a firearm.

Officer Rocha conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 13th and R Street at around 12:50 a.m. Saturday.

Officer Rocha contacted the driver 38-year-old Jeremy Bond and passenger 38-year-old Sandra Lopez.

Bond is on Merced County Probation and has a history of firearm possession. Lopez was found to have a felony warrant for her arrest.

Lopez was arrested and found to have a small semi-auto handgun concealed down her pants. Lopez and Bond are both prohibited from possessing any firearms.

Bond and Lopez were booked at Merced County Jail for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Lopez was also arrested for her felony warrant.
