This man had several pounds of Marijuana in Chowchilla

On November 1st, 2018, an officer of the Chowchilla Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle on Washington Road. The driver of the vehicle was later identified as, 33-year-old David Bravo of Chowchilla. Instead of stopping, he decided to lead officers in a vehicle pursuit.

Ultimately, David’s vehicle became disabled and he fled through an orchard on foot. With the assistance of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office K-9, David was discovered in an adjacent orchard hiding in a tree.

It was discovered that, David had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was later transported to Madera County Department of Corrections for several felony violations which included, the felony warrant for narcotic sales, as well as the additional charges of felony evasion, felon in possession of ammunition, felony transportation of marijuana for sales, and possession of marijuana for sales.
Inside of the vehicle, several pounds of marijuana were discovered.

This is the second incident involving marijuana in the past week, which resulted in a serious crime being committed. These crimes are not only dangerous for the individuals but for the community as well .
