The Merced County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau is currently investigating a string of storage unit burglaries at Derrel’s Mini Storage on Santa Fe Drive in Merced.

The first burglary took place on January 1, 2020, and the unknown thieves broke into over 100 storage units stealing personal belongings to the renters of those units. The second burglary took place this morning, January 7, 2020, and the thieves broke into another 50 storage units.

The Investigations Bureau is also asking storage unit renters to please call Derrel’s Mini Storage to check on the condition of their storage units.
